What kind of coaching?

What do I need to bring?

What will I get?

“Rich’s coaching was instrumental in me taking the plunge and entering the startup business world.

I had worked for large corporate organisations, but had a burning desire to pursue a new business idea.

His coaching helped me to adjust my mindset and build enough confidence to take the next step toward making my vision a reality. Last week I launched my retail website.

I highly recommend Rich and his coaching techniques to anyone wanting to make a change in their life or career.”

Every conversation will be a partnership.

We’re looking to uncover new insights about something you want to think about, a question that you might have.

And to work out what to do next.

Although I might have faced similar challenges, I’m not here to give the answers, or to diagnose what’s going on - but to work with you, to think something through. The art and process between us is to keep focused, explore the right questions, listen and notice, take new approaches when we need to, and check we’re making progress.

We are both here to work, but my role is to use experience and training to find the right prompts at the right moment, as we talk together. Our commitment is to be open and honest together about what’s working, how much we’re moving.

Most of us are very busy people. That’s why we typically focus on 30-60 minute focused, effective conversations. One change at a time adds up.

It’s useful to meet to talk about the approach, why you’re considering coaching, and the kind of progress you're looking for. You can book a complimentary introductory phone or video call, to meet and learn more.

But for each coaching session you don’t need to prepare in any depth - just think about something which you want to work on, and we’ll agree the exact point to discuss together at the start of the conversation.

It could be something that’s getting in the way of progress that you want for yourself, for others, or for your organisation - where you know you play a part in making change, but you want to think about what else you might do to get there.

At the end of each session, we’ll make sure we’ve tackled the topic you brought. There shouldn’t be a need for extensive notes or summaries - it should be clear what you could do next to make progress. However many changes might be buzzing around your mind, that first step to bigger change is what triggers progress: Move One Thing.

Move a series of things, and we can all make remarkable progress, perhaps faster than we thought possible.
