Who is it for?
Move One Thing is here for the already-busy, for the can’t-fit-it-in, but know you need to. We can all benefit from coaching conversations. Most of us are aspiring to improve something about our life. But if your life is at a peak moment of juggling the doing, the thinking, the delivering, the leading, the learning, the generations, the finances, the relationships… this is for you. When it feels like there is no space, we’ll use the time we’ve got to focus on the simplest changes.
There are different points in our career, different life stages where we might feel we’re missing something that would help us to move on - where we need to explore our challenges differently, with someone from outside our usual circles.
Many of us have overcome all sort of obstacles, and we know that we needed new tests to develop new skills. We can be incredibly resourceful in coming up with new ways to tackle things for ourselves. But most of us hit stages where the scale of changes we need can feel a little overwhelming.
Perhaps because we have a combination of personal and career changes. Sometimes because we’ve experienced a huge rate of change, sustained over a long time, achieved through ever more effort - and now we need to pause, rest and embrace fresh thinking (maybe we recognise that more hours, people or theories aren’t the answer anymore).
The enthusiastic runner knows they would benefit from more support. The highest performance athletes insist on a coach by their side. A great coach will be more focused on the unique potential of the individual to develop, not just sharing wisdom, tools or techniques.
With busy schedules, and changing patterns of work, coaching can be accessible for everyone. An introductory conversation helps to decide if it’s right for you right now.
